Sentiment Analysis of Reddit Stock Discussions

As part of my teaching in "Financial Statement Analysis & Equity Valuation", I developed a hands-on tutorial in which students use transformer models (FinBERT and Twitter-RoBERTa) to measure the sentiment of retail investors' stock discussions on Reddit. The notebook runs with one click in Google Colab and illustrates why model choice and validation matter when applying language models in accounting and finance research.
